Glad to say we had a pretty good week of weather last week as we are looking at rain chances every day this coming week!. Temperatures will be warmer….mid to upper 70s and 80s for the weekend.
No change in the generation pattern. Still running five spillways and three generators. If we get all the rain they are forecasting this coming week, we might see that go up. Just have to wait and see what happens.
Carolyn on the water last Monday with Terry from Kansas. He attended the two-day fly fishing school last October and wanted to catch some fish and learn more. Very good day on the cerise San Juan worm under the big ruby and stripping the tiger tail.
Wednesday, John and his friend, Jim fished with Carolyn. Another very good day but this time is was back to the black copperhead and ruby 2 midges under the big ruby. This was Jims first time with a fly rod. He caught on to the casting and line management quickly, but had a little trouble with recognizing a hit and setting the hook. However, when he finally got the two things together, it was fast and furious! John was fishing his 6 wt. bamboo rod he built and having a wonderful time catching fish on it.
Jim took one of his regulars from Florida out Thursday. Roger fished with Jim last fall and was back for more. Good day for Roger on the ruby midge.
Michelle and Neil fished with Carolyn Thursday. Another very good day on the black copperhead and ruby 2 midges under
the big ruby. Unfortunately, for Neil, Michelle landed the larger fish of the day.
Jim had Jared on the water for half a day. They were catching on the little ruby under the big ruby. Jim from Indiana, spent the morning with Dana. Good day for him on the black copperhead and ruby 2 midges, and the mega worm.
And for those of you who have fished with us when Murphy is around, he is here again this year!
