A Lot Of Fishing………and Catching Goin’ On!
Beautiful weather! Sunny days, nice temperatures (upper 70s or low 80s), slight wind. What more could one ask for. Looks like today and tomorrow will be repeats. Tuesday through next weekend is showing chances (40%) for rain with temperatures in the mid to upper 80s.
Water has been off most every morning then 2 or 3 units on around noon or 1:00 p.m. This will continue, according to the SWPA projection, through Tuesday. Unless we get lots of rain, or extreme temperatures changes. we will probably see a similar trend continue.
Carolyn had Daniel and Josh out for half a day a week ago this past Friday. They had a good day on the ruby 2 midge under the big ruby. We did have three units running that day.
Lots of fishing going on this several days. Dana on the water a week ago from this past Saturday with
Adam and Andy from California. Good day for them on the ruby 2 midge.
Last Thursday, Mike from Oklahoma, spent the day on the water with Dana. Good, fun day for them catching on the JQ streamer, a gray scud and, of
course, the Ruby 2 midge. No generation that day so they fished the area up from the boat ramp. Carolyn had one of her previous students on the water, Terry from Kansas, He had a very good day on the ruby 2 midge under the rusty midge and stripping the tiger tail. His best fish was 20-1/2″! Jim had a couple from Kansas, Ann and QJ, out for the morning. They had a slow morning but did catch a few. No best bug that morning.
Friday morning, Carolyn took Ann and
QJ out for half a day. Different day. The had a good day on the ruby 2 midge. When the fish got tired of that, they switched to the tiger tail and finished up the morning with more fish. Jim had some new fly fishers, Chris and Allison from Iowa, on the river. They were learning and catching on the ruby and a #12 Copes.
Saturday, Erick and Elizabeth fished with Dana. P&P and ruby 2 midges.
